A low-pressure system to the southwest of Iceland is moving eastward today, bringing rain to the southern and western regions of the country.
The associated precipitation is not expected to reach the northeast, which will remain dry and see the warmest temperatures.
According to the Icelandic Meteorological Office, the low will move closer to land tonight, strengthening north westerly winds. As a result, rainfall is set to increase in the west.
As reported by RÚV, northerly winds will dominate through to Saturday, bringing moisture particularly from the north, and causing temperatures to gradually fall.
